At AIMS we are determined to educate our members on the many pathways they can follow within the biotechnology field. We want to bring a broader awareness to new advancements in medical technologies as well as provide our members with opportunities that will assist them in their future career endeavors. We hope to establish a passionate network of students who share an interest in the biomedical technologies that are shaping the future of healthcare. We host a variety of events throughout the year that allow our members to gain knowledge and to increase their analytical skills. At our journal club, members analyze scientific articles and present their findings which is a crucial skill for anyone who is entering upper year science courses. We also host many fundraisers and socials which create a sense of community for our members. All of these events lead up to our annual symposium where we host researchers who present their findings. This is a great networking opportunity and a chance to see all of the amazing scientific advancements that are happening all around us.
