Big Inja Farming

We want to see agriculture move from being the primary source of environmental damage to becoming the ultimate solution to climate change. Regenerative agriculture is biological farming that by its nature sequesters (draws down) atmospheric carbon into the soil. The magnificence of an agricultural solution is that we can continue to feed a growing population and heal the planet without the need for land use change. “A mere 2 percent increase in the carbon content of the planet’s soils could offset 100 % of all greenhouse gas emissions going into the atmosphere.” - DR. Rattan Lal, ohio state soil scientist. Regenerative agriculture leads to increased water infiltration, increased biological life, and increased nutrient availability to plants. When water and rainfall are used more effectively, growing seasons can be extended, and farms become more drought tolerant. I want to help popularise Regenerative Agriculture and provide an open roadmap for how this alternative form of nutrient rich food production, can be deployed from the ground up using simple elegant tools and methods. I want to scale the Decentralised, Smart Regenerative Agriculture model that we have developed and attract the youth back to farming.by making it aspirational to be part of the soil building revolution. This is a model to solve not only climate change but urbanisation, food security and the health crisis we face – this solution has far reaching positive outcomes if implemented widely.
