Students 4 Special Olympics
In partnership with Special Olympics Ontario, Students 4 Special Olympics seeks to address the lack of opportunity for intellectually challenged youth in the community to engage in organized sport. This initiative strives to contribute to the physical, social and psychological development of these youth through positive, successful experiences in sport. This is done in the form of weekly sports sessions run by passionate university students for intellectually challenged youth in the community. Founded in 2014, the original chapter at Queen's University in Kingston continues to operate and grow today. If any students from other Canadian universities are interested in learning more about the program and starting a chapter at their university, please feel free to email us at students4specialolympics@gmail.com.
