SAMPE is a technical and professional society with a chapter at New York University Tandon School of Engineering. SAMPE allows its members to learn more about the development of materials that can positively impact new technologies. Members learn how to work with materials and conduct research to participate in competitions and showcases. We promote community outreach by hosting STEM programs for K-12 students. Early exposure to STEM allows the children of today to develop into engineers or scientists of tomorrow. As the SAMPE chapter of NYU we have sought to include more engineers with different backgrounds. We are one of the few organizations that have a broad reach because the development of materials affect everyone's lives.
