Northcote Lodge School
www.northwoodschools.comNorthcote Lodge is a preparatory school for boys aged 8-13 based in South London. Together with Broomwood Hall Lower School, Broomwood Hall Upper School and NorthWood Senior, we make up the Northwood Schools family, offering an unrivalled quality of education for over 900 children from 4-16. The school opened its doors in September 1993 under its first headmaster, Desmond Bain, with just 14 pupils and two teachers and has now reached its full size of 260 boys. The fifth Headmaster, Clive Smith-Langridge, joined the school in January 2019. Northcote Lodge is recognised as one London's foremost day preparatory schools for boys, sending its pupils to all the best-known public schools - both day and boarding, and exemplifying all that is best in the prep school tradition whilst at the same time being both modern and forward looking. Each boy is an individual, and our goal is to inspire and support every one in developing his full potential. The boys know that they come to school to work, but also to have fun. Most of our boys come to us from Broomwood Hall Lower School, so a place there guarantees a place with us; however, we do have limited spaces for boys from other schools at 8 and 11, and we are always happy to meet and chat to parents about the possibility of their son joining us. We offer a 7+ Academic Scholarship which would give a boy one year at Broomwood Hall Lower School before a guaranteed entry into Northcote Lodge at age 8. This is worth up to 20% of fees. There is also a 7+ Music Scholarship available as well. Boys leave us predominately at 13+ - but also at 11+ too. Whenever they leave us, we take pride in knowing that they move on to the right school for them. In 2020 our Leavers won 11 scholarships to some of the country's leading schools.
