INTAL the institute of food science and technology, INTAL is a non-profit foundation estabilshed in 2002, its main objective is to strengthen and to improve the field of food production and agriculture based on the offering of technical training and scientific research support to small, medium and great industrial partners nationwide. Our human resource allows us to make available comprehensive services using the technology neccesary to addres the new challenges of food Research. PILOT PLANTS PROCESS We use to simulate new process semi-industrial interes for the food sector, the adaptation of new materials and processing techniques that allow the generations of new technologies. It has the equipment and infraestructure for the development and processing of meat products, Bakery, pastry, coffee, food and minimally processed Foods (fruits and vegetables). PACKAGING RESEARCH CENTER We assist in flexible packaging applications semirigid packing and conservation technologies according to the needs of marketing,production and production life. Advice developing alternatives and new packaging. Evaluation for the preservation of food by modified atmosphere packaging and vacuum packaging. Evaluacion of packaging materials such as permeability, determination sizings, vaccum tests, among others. Research and application of new technologis of food preservation. OTHER LABS: - LABORATORY OF SENSORIY ANALYSIS - COFFEE POINT - GASTRONOMY CENTER - LABORATORY OF MICROBIOLOGY
