Green Gas Trading runs the Biomethane Certification Scheme, which is a platform that generates biomethane certificates (RGGOs) for anaerobic digestion plants injecting biomethane to the natural gas grid. The certificates are then sold or traded that provides additional income to the plant following verification against the RHI. The certificates provide consumers with the knowledge they have used 'green gas' (biomethane) in their consumption whilst providing information on the feedstock and emissions associated with the gas they have consumed.
