About: After noticing a lack of phone case options available for hockey fans, Original Stix was founded in Detroit, Michigan in 2013. At Original Stix, we believe that phone cases should be more than a generic, mass-produced piece of plastic - they should be authentic. Featuring superior craftsmanship, authentic materials, and meticulous attention to detail, Original Stix lets fans and players take a unique piece of the game with them everywhere.We start with broken, game-used sticks from college, minor league, and professional hockey teams, then hand cut each to precise specifications. We then assemble the cases by hand before testing each for quality and durability standards. The Concept: Prior to the addition of the league’s first expansion teams in 1967, six hockey teams made up the National Hockey League: The Detroit Red Wings, Toronto Maple Leafs, Boston Bruins, Chicago Blackhawks, Montreal Canadiens, and New York Rangers. For nearly fifty years, these six teams were engaged in fierce rivalries and some of the most memorable moments in all of sports. Today, these teams are collectively referred to as “The Original Six”, and are among the most storied sports franchises in the world.
