What makes the Wateraft unique from other water mats on the market? 1) The most distinct difference between the Wateraft and other floating water mats is the three ply construction—two outer layers of 2 lb. marine grade cross-linked polyethylene foam and one middle layer of dense 4 lb. marine grade cross-linked polyethylene foam. Many competitors only use two layers of less dense 2lb cross-linked polyethylene foam which makes it easy to rip and tear. Having a denser foam in the middle of our raft makes the product more buoyant and easier to roll up after use. 2) All of our floating water mats contain UV additives, so it will not degrade in the sun. (If you have ever seen a pool noodle break down in the sun, that is a result of it not being UV-protected). 3) Our water mats are yellow for safety purposes.
