Dr. Slack has been serving the community for over 15 years. “I like that I’m not just a hired guy in an office. I’m part of the community,” he says. His practice has expanded over the years to include Allen, McKinney, Frisco, and Plano, Texas. Even so, Dr. Slack still gives his patients undivided time and attention. He works to build the kind of doctor-patient relationship that is becoming obsolete in today’s economically-driven medical environment. That means when a patient sees Dr. Slack, before any sort of exam they will be greeted by him in the lobby first. Then they will stop in his office for an in-depth discussion about the patient’s goals and what various procedures can and cannot do to help achieve the desired results. “They are entrusting their body and health to me, and I don’t take that lightly,” Slack says. He continues the same level of care – focusing on the relationship with the patient – from exam to surgery to post-op check-ups. “Honesty and good communication is key.” Unlike a lot of other “cosmetic surgeons,” Dr. Slack is board-certified in plastic surgery. This means he has undergone extensive training and met a set of stringent criteria in skills and knowledge.
