The Club is based at the UQ Sport Aquatic Centre at the UQ St Lucia Campus in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. We have a first class facility with a heated 50m pool, a brand new heated 25m pool, large undercover seating areas and modern change rooms. We have one of the few 50m pools in the western suburbs. UQ Swim Club is led by Head Coach, UQ Sport's David Heyden, with support of assistant coaches for our junior through to senior swim squads. Coach David's philosophy is to keep the program broad and focus on creating a team environment for our squads which is fun, structured and motivating. The Club consists of Age Level swimmers (18 and under), Open level State, National and Inter-National Level swimmers and Masters Level swimmers (18 and over). Club membership provides the opportunity to compete at all levels of competitive swimming from Club Nights through to International Competition with the support of our coaches. The Club has a close alignment to UQ Sport and all of the resources and support that comes with it such as UQ Sports Science and Sports Psychology Specialists.
