Seated on the escarpment of the south eastern Drakensberg, Oaklands offers a sublime slice of family farm living, with an emphasis on comfort, simplicity and farm to table style food. Our 17-roomed guest accommodation offering is a place where you can rediscover the forgotten rhythms of long, drawn-out days and easy, lingering evening with family and friends. Our farm serves as a self-contained safe space with a fresh, pared-back aesthetic where the emphasis is on nature’s palette. Mother nature informs the design ethos and her gestures form the subtle details of your farm stay. Your children can collect eggs, pick vegetables, go barefoot. They can ride our impeccable ponies, groom them, love them, kiss them. Let them get their hands dirty and cover themselves in health-giving enviro-biome, fish, swim and paddle in the spring dam. There are no rules, just respect and consideration is required. Be careful, be mindful, be kind and laugh a lot. A farm welcome... We want our farm to be your home.
