Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers (FACL) is a diverse coalition of Asian Canadian legal professionals working to promote equity, justice, and opportunity for Asian Canadian legal professionals and the wider community. FACL is a not-for-profit organization working closely with other Asian Canadian associations and community organizations. It is affiliated with the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA). Founded in 2007, FACL has since grown from its origins in Ontario across Canada to British Columbia and Nova Scotia. On November 18, 2014, FACL officially launched in Alberta at a sold-out dinner with over 80 guests in attendance including the Honourable Madam Justice Maryka Omatsu, Canada’s first woman of East Asian origin appointed to the bench and Lai-King Hum, the current President of FACL Ontario. FACL Western encompasses the provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. We welcome your involvement with FACL Western.
