AJANTA an Authentic Indian Restaurant since 1957 in Tokyo. Founded by Jaya Murti. First restaurant opened at Asagaya, Suginami-ku. Moved to Kudan, Chiyoka-ku, in 1961. Incorparated under the name Jaimurti Ltd, later changed to Ajanta Universe, Ltd. Branches were in Ginza, Kamakura, Karuizawa, Ikegukuro, Ebisu and Shiodome. Several outlets in departmental stores such as Takashimaya, Hankyu and Seibu. The business was aquired by Prance Corporation, Inc., headed by Mrs. Sae Arisawa, in 2005. After restructuring, all branches were closed and operating only the main restaurant in Kojimachi, Chiyoda-ku.
