Lorimer is an independent publishing house based in Toronto. We publish 25-30 new titles annually. Our children's and teen list of fiction and non-fiction focuses on reluctant and struggling readers. Our titles are widely recognized and recommended by children's book reviewers in Canada and the U.S. Our adult list of 6-10 titles focuses on contemporary Canadian social and political issues. We also provide promotion and marketing services to Formac Publishing, a regional publishing house in Halifax owned by James Lorimer that publishes 20 new titles annually.
