The Center of Excellence and Adoption on Internet of Things (CEA-IoT) is an alliance of 3 technological leaders (Intel-HPe-Microsoft), 5 Colombian universities (Pontificia Universidad Javeriana Bogota, Pontificia Universidad Javeriana Cali, Universidad Tecnológica de Bolivar, Universidad Santo Tomás, and Universidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga), and 5 companies from strategical Colombian productive sectors (Hospital Universitario San Ignacio, Banco Pichincha, Logyca, Zona Franca Bogotá, and Totto-Nalsani). The CEA-IoT is initially funded by the Colombian ICT Ministry in order to empower the country in IoT technologies.
