The University of Guelph is proud to host the 41st annual Ontario Engineering Competition (OEC), which will take place on January 17 - 19 2019. The competition will attract more than three-hundred of the brightest engineering students from across Ontario, to the City of Guelph. These engineering students will face off in one of the 8 unique competitions that will challenge the skills and knowledge that they’ve obtained over the course of their academic careers. The 8 competition categories include communications, consulting, debate, innovative design, junior design, programming, re-engineering and senior design. OEC is an amazing opportunity to showcase the talents of the next generation of engineers. Industry representatives are encouraged to attend all aspects of the competition, including banquets, competing times, and the sponsor marketplace. This provides ample opportunity for competitors to network with professionals from a variety of engineering related industries. Additionally, this offers the chance for your organization to attract accomplished and aspiring engineers. The competitors at OEC are undergraduate engineering students that have performed with excellence in their school's qualifier competition. These teams will be representing their institutions on the provincial stage, with the goal of advancing. The winners of OEC will move on to the Canadian Engineering Competition in March 2020, to compete for the national title in their respective categories.
