Ice Cream Jubilee
www.icecreamjubilee.comIce Cream Jubilee is the only DC-owned and operated small-batch ice cream company, located in The Yards Park along Capital Riverfront in the Navy Yard neighborhood. Ice Cream Jubilee was founded by Victoria Lai, an attorney-turned-icecreampreneur who began making and selling ice cream three years ago from a professional kitchen while working as a presidential appointee at the Department of Homeland Security. Since 2013, Ice Cream Jubilee has been selling its small-batch ice cream through select local markets and its old-fashioned ice cream cart. After winning the People's Choice Award at the 2013 DC Scoop Competition at Union Market, Lai made plans to open a scoop shop in Southeast DC. Ice Cream Jubilee reimagines the childhood joy of ice cream by combining sophisticated, international flavors with childhood-favorites like Banana Bourbon Caramel, Dark & Stormy, Mango Habanero, Thai Iced Tea, and Blueberry Pie. Using an all-natural super-premium local cream from Maryland's South Mountain Creamery, Ice Cream Jubilee’s product has a higher cream content and is scooped at a colder temperature than gelato, which makes it ideal for ice cream cones and sundaes. Whimsical flavors, made by friends.
