Setup Time: In May 1998, The PeCan Information technology Co. Ltd. established in 1988 had its 10 years cooperation completed. Canon (China) and Founder Electronics co-invested again to set up a software development company called Beijing Pecan Information System Co. Ltd., which extended Canon's business in China to include research and development activities. On 29th April 2004, during friendly negotiations between the two investors, PeCan’s investment structure was changed. It became Canon (China)’s 100% owned foreign capital invested company and was renamed as Canon Information Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd. On April 20th 2007, being decided by the board of directors of the company, the term of operation extended to April 5th 2018.
