The Maricopa County Industrial Development Authority (IDA) helps create and maintain jobs within Maricopa County and assist residents of the County to achieve a better standard of living and way of life. The IDA offers private borrowers an opportunity to finance their projects with tax-exempt (below market) interest from a private lender(s). The Maricopa County IDA was named GPEC's Outstanding Regional Contribution in 2015 was named the Council of Development Finance Agencies CDFA Distinguished Development Finance Local Agency Award in 2016
