On Target Shooting Sports was founded in 2019 by Adam Williams and Jerrod Menz. With a passion for the shooting industry and educating new gun owners, Adam and Jerrod set out to create a new standard for firearms retailers and ranges. Starting with training our staff on range safety, we ended up with 12 RSO's on staff and constant RSO presence on the range. Two years later and 25,000+ happy shooters have safely enjoyed OTSS' range and facilities. 6 months into operating OTSS, Adam and Jerrod identified an opportunity to make a positive impact in the community by offering free firearms training. Initially starting with a free gun safety class offered once a week, the steady success of the community service program evolved into a much broader empowerment movement for new and unsure gun owners. The next step was to offer the Tennessee Enhanced Handgun Permit Qualification Course for free to the public. OTSS has offered this class 8 times a month since 2020 without ever charging a dime. On Target Shooting Sports now employs three full-time instructors, whose sole purpose is to educate the public and continue to improve and refine the work at hand.
