MSL's recent successes include a DEFRA funded study showing the feasibility of freight pipelines in the aggregate sector and successful Innovate UK Projects (720295 and 710688): 'Development of an innovative, flexible, cost effective, low environmental impact freight pipeline solution for the aggregate sector' and ‘Innovative Intermodal Urban Freight Transport Solution’ which examined the feasibility of developing the Mole Urban Freight Pipeline System in an exemplar urban area, Northampton. Also an RSSB study on the application of Linear Induction Motors to achieve predicted braking when the wheel rail interface is compromised. On the back of these activities, MSL is recognised by ISUFT as a global leader in the UFT sector. MSL target a role in UFP system deployments as a Technology developer, and System Integrator/Authority, whereby they are the overall specifier and integrator of the sub-systems that make up a complete UFT system.
