Coming Home Well is proud to announce the 2021 merger with Behind the Service to better serve the veteran and caregiver community - We are better together! By joining forces we broaden the exploration into resources available such as promising research, medical treatments, and supportive organizations all working towards healing our veterans and assisting our caregivers. Together we provide a microphone to veterans needing to tell their stories of overcoming adversities to inspire others to persevere; caregivers reinforcing the need to stay strong and that they are not alone; historians reminding us of the sacrifices that come with war; and professionals embedded within the conflict needing to tell their story. As an organization we support projects such as the Vet Pet Program, encouraging local animal shelters and rescues to offer waived adoption fees to veterans in need of a unconditional companion, and Caregivers on the Homefront, providing Veteran Caregiver Mental Health and Wellness Retreats. Our team of volunteers work passionately providing their time, expertise, and dedication towards magnifying the conversation, and deepening the understanding of the struggles of both veteran and caregiver.
