On December 1, 1981, Westergaard Advertising was born. Armed with a handful of clients and years of experience in radio advertising, Dean Westergaard first operated the business from his home, then an old bank building, and now from a quaint bungalow on the brick streets of Adel. Throughout this journey the mission has always remained the same — create effective campaigns to help our clients achieve their goals. Through the years, the agency has earned a reputation for quietly producing strong, creative work while providing exceptional client service. In fact, we still serve our first client. In 2007, joined by his son Nick, Dean opened an Eastern Iowa office of Westergaard in the Hawkeye suburb of Coralville. Together, Dean and Nick’s balance of traditional and new media expertise offer a well-rounded approach to activating brands across all media touchpoints. Though the zip codes may be different, it’s still the same Westergaard brand of strategy and client service. In 2011, the firm marked its 30th year in business with a name change as Westergaard Advertising became Westergaard. This transition reflects the agency’s expanded focus on brand development and strategic communication across a variety of media. We work to create BRAND/ACTION by developing strong brands and setting them into action to produce desired results.
