The Marine Raiders won a National Championship in 2014 against the St. Louis Attack in the inaugural X-Bowl. Following the 2015 season, it was announced that the Florida Marine Raiders would cease operations in Lakeland and seek a new city. In August of 2015, it was announced that indoor football would continue operations at the Lakeland Center under new ownership, with the name changing to the Central Florida Jaguars, and a switch of leagues to the AIF (American Indoor Football).
