Applied Brain and Vision Sciences was founded to change the way we understand brain function and treat brain diseases. Simply, we believe there is a ‘better’ way to diagnose and treat brain disease and dysfunction. We believe that through appropriate therapies and objective measures of functional brain activity and other bio-signals during the course of these therapies, we can make health-related and technological advances to significantly impact lives. Application of our ‘sciences’ in multiple contexts provides us with opportunities to improve our understanding of brain function and develop new technology to measure it. ABV Sciences has advanced technology for cleaning data and building models of brain function through data mining processes that won an award from the University of Victoria, Innovation Development Corporation in 2007 in the Best Software Category. ABV Sciences is a 2012 Victoria Advanced Technology Council Technology Awards Finalist. (The winning organization is yet to be determined.) ABV Sciences is in the process of founding the Global NeuroSolutions Society for accelerating the development and testing of brain disease and dysfunction marker detection algorithms via crowd sourcing of neuroscience research know-how and data via their NeuroAccelerator.org internet portal. ABV Sciences develops and applies advanced brain activity analysis technology through research and development partnerships with the objective of improving brain health.
