The Utah Hepatitis Coalition is working to create a future where hepatitis is no longer a public health threat, and hepatitis-related health inequities have been eliminated. Our mission is to support all Utahns living with and at risk for hepatitis to maximize their health and wellness. We achieve this through prevention, education, testing, treatment, and linkage to reduce morbidity, mortality, and stigma related to hepatitis. We're focused on educating the public, both patients and medical providers, about hepatitis. We offer factual information through educational programs and support materials. We promote awareness of hepatitis on our website and through our programs, by educating people about the risk factors and the necessity of protecting our livers through the treatment of the virus. We encourage practicing healthy behaviors through lifestyle changes and personal prevention efforts. We strive to bring the importance of organ donation to the forefront of the public's mind. We offer support and help with access to patients living with this insidious disease by making factual, stigma-free information available online. We all have a role to play in reducing the social and personal impacts experienced by people living with hepatitis.
