Ag Econ is an integrated agricultural Research, Development and Extension provider – with the core objective of helping farmers achieve best practice through the provision of relevant research outputs. We provide a range of highly specialised services to both public and private sector clients including: • Climate risk analyses and extension services; • Economic impact assessments and evaluations; • Resource efficiency analyses including limited irrigation water scenarios, nitrogen fertiliser efficiency, incorporating renewables and energy storage into irrigation systems, robotics in agriculture; • Investment analyses including applied feasibility studies of implementing agricultural technologies; • Business risk management including gross margin surveys, enterprise evaluation, whole farm modelling and farm acquisition; • Preparing agricultural Best Management Practice manuals; and • Carbon/energy policy analyses and extension. Ag Econ aims to contribute to the sustainability of the agricultural sector by identifying and evaluating innovative practices or investments that increase productivity, reduce environmental footprint and maximise profits. With offices in North West NSW and Sydney, Ag Econ currently provides RD&E services across the eastern states of Australia from Cairns down to Geelong.
