The purpose of the Sylvia Fedoruk Canadian Centre for Nuclear Innovation (the Fedoruk Centre) is to place Saskatchewan among global leaders in nuclear research, development and training through investment in partnerships with academia and industry for maximum societal and economic benefit. The Fedoruk Centre supports research and education in nuclear medicine, social and environmental sciences related to nuclear technology development, nuclear energy and safety including small reactors, and materials research using nuclear techniques. The Fedoruk Centre also operates the Saskatchewan Centre for Cyclotron Sciences as a research and educational tool for nuclear medicine, molecular imaging, and the supply of medical radioisotopes and radiopharmaceuticals.
