Hello there! My name is Aaron Plaat, and I’m the creator of 51. In 2016, I became close friends with Sister J, who changed my heart/perception towards the homeless through our friendship. I started 51 to create a vehicle that would combine my love for the homeless with a desire to create beautiful artwork. For every piece of artwork that’s sold, 51% of profits are donated to Portland Rescue Mission. Each piece is sold as a limited edition print, using a pay-what-you-can pricing model.
