DIYBIO Hong Kong Limited is a nonprofit organization that was formed with the sole purpose to create a community laboratory in Hong Kong where citizen scientists can come together to do biological experiments. Our aim is to enable people to learn from each other about all aspects of biology, including molecular techniques and to do experiments within certain safety guidelines. We want to break the idea that biology is only something that can be done in university laboratories. Anyone who is curious in any aspect of biology is welcome to join us. Science communication is also very important to us, thus we want to bring Biology out of the lab and into the community. We believe that Biology is not scary, and that anyone can do it. We also want to inform people about what is happening in the world of Biology. There is a lot of misinformation out there. Only if people are informed can they make informed decisions.
