Owned and operated by Melku Gebrekristos, Laza (est. 2009) is devoted to making nutritious and authentic food and beverages celebrating her Eritrean heritage. Trained as a senior lab technician, Melku brings a passion for quality, integrity, and health to every product she develops. In recent years, Laza has honed a delicious line of hibiscus and Lemon beverages that is widely available in Guelph, Toronto, Hamilton and the Kitchener-Waterloo area. Reflecting Laza’s strong commitment to community and cultural diversity, these beverages (as well as many other hearty, tasty creations) have been staples at many celebrated festivals, charitable events and stores around Southern Ontario.
