Pleix is a virtual community of seven digital artists (graphic designers, directors, 3D artists, musicians…) based in Paris. Created in 2001, the artists of Pleix take much of their inspiration from society and life’s little contradictions. They all have the same will to mix their competences, and to achieve freedom through a greater variety of projects. With 7 members there is a constant exchange of ideas, mix of knowledge and techniques and flow of points of view but each sticking to their own style, taste and proper technique – with an overall view of expressing these styles. Passion is what drives Pleix and the mixture of techniques is an advantage of the collective. Together, these artists have combined their skills to gain greater creative freedom on a wider range of projects, and enjoy mixing graphics, video and audio, in a way that creates tension and irony in their work. Pleix love to surprise and be surprised. To that end, they take pleasure in bringing their work to the public in all mediums and forms, whether it be in film, exhibitions, festivals, the internet, TV, or any other creative outlet.
