The ARC Group made its foray into consumer goods with packaged drinking water "Aqua Puraa". It further has expanded the consumer goods vertical with the launch of packaged food products. In the month of July 2013 it launched its packaged snack product "Mappillai's". The state of the art plant is located in Trichy which is the epicentre of Tamilnadu. The facility is spread across 20,157 square feet of land. The latest machineries for the processing and packaging of the snack product has been used. The plant includes continuous automatic fryers and automatic packaging machines with minimal human interference. The group is looking to target both the domestic market and the export market as well. It's well spanned out distribution network is one of the main strengths of the group. Its product portfolio includes an array of South Indian snack products varieties. Care has been taken to procure the best raw materials to ensure consistency in taste and quality. It is well equipped with a chemical and a microbiological lab and every batch is tested before being packed. The food division of the ARC Group operates under its group company "Dhanalakshmi and Company". It has future plans to get into the different segments of the food industry as well. The plant has been certified with ISO 22000:2005 and HACCP certificates. It has also been recognized by the Snack Food Association, Virginia, USA. It is registered under the FSSAI in India.
