Kaulunani is proud to be the state of Hawaii’s Urban and Community Forestry Program housed within the Department of Land and Natural Resourcesʻ Division of Forestry and Wildlife. Kaulunani is managed in partnership with the urban forestry non-profit, Smart Trees Pacific with the support of USDA Forest Service Region 5. Our program is housed within DLNR and we operate out of the state's Honolulu office, however our projects and partners expand across the entire state. Our program has been working to improve the health and viability of trees in Hawaii’s communities since 1993.
