Our focus is to reduce child abuse and child neglect in Southwest Missouri by providing a safe place for parents/guardians to leave their children when addressing short-term emergencies or crisis. Children can stay a minimum of 24 hours up to 30 days in a fiscal-year. While the child is in our care, Family Advocates develop a customized plan for the parent to follow to resolve their situation and a customized plan for the child while the child is with us. The Family Advocates conduct follow-up calls to the parents/guardians up to one year after the child has stayed at Isabel's House to provide support, adjustments to service plans and additional referrals to address any new concerns - we strengthen families and keep them together.
