Coast Mountain Hydro Services
www.cmhydro.comCoast Mountain Hydro Services operates a collection of three run-of-river hydroelectric facilities — Forrest Kerr (195 MW), McLymont (66 MW), and Volcano (17 MW) Hydro Projects. Located in Northwest British Columbia, Canada, our facilities are situated with the Coast Mountain Range to the west and Skeena Mountains to the east, approximately 100 km from the town of Stewart. The Forrest Kerr Hydro Project sits between the McLymont Creek and Volcano Creek Hydro Projects. Since construction completion in 2014, Forrest Kerr has served as the central location for managing operations and maintenance of our facilities. Our full-time resident staff of over 30 professionals including engineers, coordinators, millwrights, electricians, and heavy machinery operators from across Canada rotate through the work camp located onsite. These men and women are responsible for the efficient and effective management, operations, and maintenance of the three hydroelectric facilities. Our team is proud of the work we do, and the strong partnerships we have formed in the community. We are committed to upholding our environmental and social responsibilities while maintaining integrity and transparency through good corporate governance. We operate in partnership with the Talthan First Nations and acknowledge the facilities’ location on the traditional lands of the Talthan First Nations people.
