Babymoon Care BV, a Dutch social venture, promotes the move to mothers using solutions which support infant-attachment – not just carrying infants. Our solutions are engineered to ergonomically support the primary stages of spine development and facilitate skin-on skin contact with a parent, in support of the World Health Organization’s recommended Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC). Our designs are beautiful, fashionable and made to create a lasting impact on both parent and child, contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations. In an effort to combine Kangaroo Mother Care and health monitoring into an infant care tool that can offer the best of both worlds to families and healthcare providers, the idea for the first ever SMART KMC CARRIER came about. We are working with conductive yarn electrodes to make vital sign monitoring seamless, uninvasive, easy to use and KMC friendly. We are in testing and trials phase of the Smart Solution and expect to have it in market in 2021.
