Since 1996, Safe Place for Pets has compassionately served pet owners diagnosed with terminal illnesses living in El Paso and Teller counties in Colorado. We have found forever homes for over 1,000 of their beloved pets while also providing needed veterinary care and support. We pride ourselves on our passion and commitment to our animals and community. Our first priority at Safe Place for Pets is to find forever homes for the animals in our care. To achieve that goal, we devote time, money and resources to help ensure pets are adoptable and ready to meet their new families. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to serving terminally ill people in El Paso and Teller counties by finding forever homes for their beloved pets. Safe Place is governed by an all volunteer board of directors and is supported by individual and business donations, rehoming fees, surrender fees, foundation and corporate grants and community events.
