Emerald City Pet Rescue was originally founded in 2013 by a wonderful individual with an incredible vision. Vivian Goldbloom started the rescue in a back room at a vet clinic in West Seattle, and we have now expanded to three buildings which include our boarding facility and our in-house vet clinic, our main adoption facility, and our cat facility. We also have an equine and farm animal sanctuary on Vashon! Our entire team works hard on a daily basis to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome animals in need! With our dynamic team consisting of rescue coordinators, animal caregivers, veterinarians, vet techs, vet assistants, equine caregivers, accountants, retail associates, warehouse, and more, we all work together to make sure that any animal in our care gets the absolute best care possible while we help them find their forever homes. While our employees have a wide range of talents and specialties, we are all uniquely united and bonded through our collective passion for helping these special animals. Many are saved from high-kill shelters around the country and sometimes even around the world, while others are local relinquishments right here in the Seattle area. If an animal needs help and we are able, we will always step in! We have a long-term vision of continuing to provide complete care for these animals, continuing to expand our reach and our helping hands, and working together to make the world a better place, one cat, dog, horse, rabbit, ferret, goat, chicken, or any other animal - at a time.
