VOG is the Consortium of South Tyrolean Fruit Growers‘ Co-operatives. Since 1945, the year in which it was founded, it has grown to become Europe’s leading commercial organisation. The centralised quality control system ensures unique guidelines through growing, quality control, marketing, sales and logistics phases that promote the presence of apples from South Tyrol - Südtirol on markets the whole world over. 12 member co-operatives actually represent 4.600 growers who harvest annually between 550.000 and 600.000 tons of apples of highest quality on 10.700 hectares of production area. Care in creating the ideal conditions for the cultivation of each single variety ensures that apples are produced which stand out for the uniqueness of their aroma and quality. This means that in the vast assortment (for example Gala, Golden Delicious, Fuji, Granny Smith, Braeburn, Red Delicious, Pinova, Pink Lady, Jazz, Kanzi, envy, yello, Crimson Snow, Joya, Cosmic Crisp, Giga, RedPop) there will always be the right apple for all tastes and needs. They continuously strive to increase efficiency, reduce costs and guarantee high quality standards so that customers will be satisfied to an even greater extent.
