Klaipedos Smelte is a modern and thrusting container terminal catering vessels of Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), COSCO, OOCL, Maersk and other shipping lines. The company provides handling and storage of containers, heavy-lift & project cargo, also container freight station operations and certified empty container depot services. In 2021 250.000 TEU were handled by Klaipedos Smelte, including transhipment cargo for the neighboring countries of the Baltics. MSC Ingy, a containership of 19.462 TEU and L.O.A.=400 m, is the largest vessel ever accommodated by the company.
