www.stga.co.ukThe Scottish Tourist Guides Association was formed in 1959 to educate new guides and ensure they reached the highest standards. Today the Association has more than 500 members across Scotland. Over 300 are Blue Badge Guides who are qualified to guide anywhere in Scotland and the rest are Green Badge guides qualified to guide in specific regions such as Orkney. The Association is run by a board, elected by its members, who are all self employed, with a small team of staff based at its headquarters in Stirling. Its website www.stga.co.uk provides a search facility for finding guides including their availability. It continues to train new guides and also promotes its members across Scotland and around the world.
