The National Home Watch Association was founded in 2009 when the lack of oversight and accountability for Home Watch, combined with the speed and incredible amount of growth made it obvious that something needed to be done proactively. Since its inception, the National Home Watch Association has created a path for existing companies to legitimize their operations, while providing entrepreneurs and first-timers alike to build successful, ethical and well protected Home Watch companies through vetting and accreditation. As our stated goal is to protect the public from unscrupulous and uninsured people getting access to people's homes, In recent years, the NHWA has created our Certified Home Watch Professional program and designation (CHWP) , as well as Home Watch Boot Camp. Home Watch Boot Camp is an intense two-day, one on one training program that is conducted at homes and condos located at locations throughout the US.
