Cornell Engineering World Health
ewh.engineering.cornell.eduThe mission of Cornell Health Technology is to design, prototype, and implement low-cost solutions for global health, medical, and health technology issues. Over the last few years, Cornell Health Technology (previously known as Cornell Engineering World Health, or EWH) has grown into a multi-disciplinary team with students in electrical, mechanical, biological, biomedical, and chemical engineering, as well as computer science, global health, policy affairs and management, applied economics and management, operations research, and information science. The project team is comprised of four sub-teams: Integrative Design, Electrical, Software, and Business. Together, the sub-teams collaborate on different aspects of a project to design, prototype, and implement low-cost solutions for global health, medical, and health technology issues. While gaining technical skills ranging from CADing and machining to designing analog circuits, members of the project team also gain valuable skills in project management, product design, and cross-functional collaboration.
