Ottawa Boat Cruise was founded when Jean Taillefer decided to convert one of his ferryboats into a cruise boat on the Ottawa River for family and friends. When the word started to spread, more and more people got interested. Mr. Taillefer decided to create a new company and launched his operations from Rockland in the early 1980's. Today it has grown to include three brands: Rideau Canal Cruises, Paul's Boat Line and Signature Events.
