Welcome to Barbra Curtiss Realty Inc. I have owned and operated several small businesses over my career span. I guess you can say I am an entrepreneur before I ever knew what an entrepreneur was! I retired from a 22-year career in property management in 2002 to open my boutique real estate company where I am the Owner-Broker of Barbra Curtiss Realty, Inc located on the Square in Downtown Cumming, Georgia. I am also the Founder and CEO of NSFRA, National Society of Female REO Agents which is an organization dedicated to Women in the Default Servicing Industry. I also am the Owner and School Director of National Society University, a Licensed Georgia Real Estate School where I teach Continuing Education Courses for Georgia Realtors. Being one of four daughters born to a farmer in the 1950”s , we grew up working alongside our dad as if we were boys. I loved working in the fields with my Dad while my other sisters hated it! I was always the tomboy and loved the smell of the outdoors, Spring when the rich ground was broke for spring planting, the sweet smell of wild honeysuckle in the summer air and the smell of fresh cotton in the fall as it was picked and headed to the huge cotton gins will always be some of my most cherished memories. Farm life was not easy but it taught me never to be afraid of hard work and it set deep rooted values and ethics that have been priceless throughout my career! I am a wife, mother, grandmother, avid outdoorsman and accomplished business woman I am as much at home in the conference room I am out on Lake Lanier fishing with my husband. Throughout my career, I have always pursued excellence through a commitment to high standards, fair play and sound judgment. I have faithfully managed to achieve a rare balance between my personal and professional responsibilities. I am very proud to be an informed, well-rounded, down-to-earth person and real estate broker with a sincere commitment to helping others.
