Peaceful Roots is a Yoga and Holistic Fitness studio in Portland, Oregon. The aim in opening the studio is to create a healthy environment so that you can create a healthier YOU. Yoga Therapy is a tool to learning a deeper sense of self-awareness and understanding. Yoga helps us to discover our inner creator and teaches us to become masters of our house. When we use yoga on the path of life, we become more in tune with our connection to life, and thus the external chaos becomes less. Denny is an ACSM certified personal trainer and also a yoga teacher, so he approaches the lifting of weights different than most other trainers out there. He goes the holistic approach - total understanding of the body, the mind and it’s complexities. He is an inspirational teacher on topics of empowerment, happiness, and the chaotic tendencies of mind. The mind is a complicated event, isn’t it? It’s always telling us what to do, when, how much and so forth, even if we don’t want it to. It’s highly opinionated, judgmental, unforgiving, a bit relentless and quite restless, yet we have to live with it. Understanding the concepts of mind, the whys and hows, allows us a bit of freedom from it’s endless cycle of babble. When we get free of it, we find a sense of peace. When we find this peace within us, we then share it with all those who we meet along our life’s journey.
