www.ou.eduThe University of Oklahoma Student Chapter of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (OU SPE) is a large and active organization designed to help any student interested in learning more about the Oil and Gas industry. As part of SPE International, we share their goal to disseminate and exchange technical knowledge concerning the exploration, development and production of oil and gas resources, which is done through our bi-monthly Tech Talks. In addition, OU SPE is dedicated to helping undergraduate and graduate petroleum-engineering students find full-time jobs and internships, so we collaborate with Career Services, energy companies, and the OKC SPE chapter to co-host networking and career fair prep opportunities throughout the year. We also host lunch and learns and tutoring courses to help students continue their learning outside of the classroom, as well as a wide variety of social events to help build a positive community within the college
