Starting with only a handful of staff, Emirates Group Security has since grown significantly in the scope of services that it provides, from general security to aviation-specific. It employs more than 300 staff directly and more than 2,000 security staff through its service partner, Transguard Group. Emirates Group Security extends its special aviation security services beyond Emirates to other airlines that operate in and out of Dubai International Airport on a commercial basis. It provides a comprehensive range of aviation security services that comply with the latest international industry standards and requirements, and operates across several divisions. The organisation demonstrates a commitment to excellence in every member of the team. They implement the Group’s quality management system (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 standards. It is one of the few organisations in the UAE to have received the Dubai Quality Award and the Gold Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award – in recognition for its continuous improvement programme and innovative initiatives. In fact, the cornerstone of human resources development at Emirates Group Security is life-long learning through leading security education and training programmes. Through its partnership with Edith Cowan University (Western Australia), Emirates Group Security has jointly developed the Diploma in Aviation Security Management and provides a university education programme up to the level of Master’s degree.
